He may have, I bet he would have done pretty well. I don't know the stats of Kramer but I bet Kasey would have been right there. JMO.

I'm sure the kid is a great high school player, but I think a dose of reality may be needed here.

You could take out Clark and insert Gross and it would be the same thing everyone heard last year. How many great backs are people talking about in Lexington? 1? How many great backs are people talking about in Louisville? 2 and they are both studs. I get so tired of hearing "no one respects the eastern players, we never get any attention". I will say it one more time. I DON'T DOUBT CLARK IS A VERY GOOD RUNNING BACK. I only questioned him being the best in the state. If he was that good I guarentee you he would get the attention he deserves.

There are no secrets in the recruting world. Word gets around quick, and it doesn't start on BGP. If a school is really recruiting him, people will find out about it.

I hate to get into this because it really has nothing to do with the five that were nominated. But you could not just exchange Gross for Clark.

 

They are very different. Gross was the quickest most explosive RB I have seen come out of this area of the state. Also a very good Cornorback as he demonstrated in the KY/TN all star game. He is doing very well and playing for a great program in Georgetown.

 

Clark while not quite as quick as Gross does have one distinct advantage in being recruited by bigger schools. His SIZE. Gross is 5'"9" 180lbs and Clark is 6'0" 200lbs. That is a big difference to recruiters.

 

Alot has been made about Clark being a RB. I'm not sure if he will play RB in college. He has great hands and would be an excellent reciever. He is an oustanding DB and IMO, with his size and speed would be a terrific Safety or with some added size Maybe a OLB in college. I believe he is one of the top 5 football players in the state.

 

Back on the topic of the Thread. Congratulations to all of the players who were nominated. I really don't think anyone in this state will be selected this year. It is an honor just to be nominated, whether they are selected to play in the game or not.

If you don't mind letting me in on the "secret", are there any other schools I am leaving off of the "several Big-Conference (Big East,Big Ten,SEC) schools (that) are recruiting" Clark.
