Best districts in the state

What is the best district in the state? No matter what class or region. Concider all the teams in that district from top to bottom. This covers 1A, semi-state 1, region 1, district 1 to 4A, state-semi 2, region 4, district 8.

The 1A district with Beechwood and NewCath, and 1A, Region 2 District 3 with Holy Cross, Bardstown, and Bethlehem are tops.

The 2A District with Western, Larue Co., E-Town, Desales, Christian Academy, and Washington County is the strongest 2A district IMO.

3A in Northern Kentucky with Highlands and Cov Cath

They have combined to win around 10 state championships in the last 20 years.

Now to my opinion on the best district in the state. As it stands right now, no district is better than 4A, semi-state 1, region 2, district 4. Pleasure Ridge Park 4-0, Male 4-0, St. Xavier 4-0, Iroquois 3-1, Butler 2-2, DuPont Manual 2-2. This is imo the best district in the state from top to bottom. Dont be surprised to see the 4A state champion come from this distict.

No doubt here. It's not even close...

4A Region 4 District 7

You've nailed this question...I definitely agree with these two as the best top to bottom. :thumb:

^ Yes, we at Nelson County have been getting pasted by that District in the playoffs for years.

Far and away the best district in the Commonwealth.

Let's just concentrate on the best districts and not get into trying to list the worst.

A vote should go to District 7-AAA. Rockcastle and Bell County are two of strongest teams in Mountains. Clay County passing game is getting them notice as well.

I think region 1,district 1 4a is very good...Probably not on the level of the Lville 4a but still very competitive and could go 1-4 in any order with Christian Co, Warren Central, Graves Co and Marshall Co..Throw in rg1 district 2 with Henderson Co, Owensboro and Apollo and it's very hard to accurately pick who may come out of here..

.....or too beat up from playing in this tough district to be able to advance!

Sorry I havent been on here in a while....job requires so much travel now its ridiculous....

As most of you know, this is my favorite district...I havent had been able to attend as many games as I wanted (thank you career choice)...but I have had numerous conversations with coaches across the city and here are some of the inputs I've received..

Male: Obviously has shown they are still dangerous. Showed last week they dont need Beaumont to win...Josh Williams is flashing signs of brillance at receiver. Bye week helps Beaumont get healthy.

X- Jeez this teams continues to impress me....I have taken off for the weekend X & Male play because I know this is going to be dynamite game...I CANT WAIT!!!

PRP- A little puzzled here with this team...they show so many awesome signs and then struggle here and there. Many coaches are saying they are just waiting until district to pounce on their district opponents...tweaking the offense and defense in the meantime

Manual- Loss to Brentwood seems to have helped but their inexperience shows in many games. When they are good...they play good...when they are bad....well...they struggle.

Butler- Maurice Coleman is having a good year and is tough as nails but otherwise the offense isnt really putting up the numbers most are used to. Need to find other weapons and soon.

Iroquois-Following loss to Valley, this team has gone on a roll. Defense is scaring many coaches with their speed and aggressiveness. Only given up a total of 12 points in 3 games on defense. Offense seems to still be adjusting to new QB and play schemes. Against Valley they were wide open...Against Moore they ran it. One coach said "This is not the same team that people are used to in the past. In any other district, they would be my top pick...its just a shame they have to play in the same district as Male, St. X, PRP, Manual & Butler".

Real test will be against Central Hardin this week.

GOOD LUCK R2D4 this week!!! Make us proud!!!
