Amen to that one EE. :laugh: :laugh: I am going to try and make it, with my condition I really ever know untill that day and/or time. I don't know if you were familiar with Ben Pumphrey (former Nich. Co. coach) or not. He was a great coach and even finer man but he was also the best .....lets say "fertilizer saleman" in the state of Ky.:lol: Every year we Raceland people looked foward to what he would put in the local paper here, it was always entertaining. That was why the references to him were made by cville and myself.

Or maybe it was a compliment...but I am being sincere and you guys will see Friday evening as to where we are with inexperienced QBs...The LCA offense has been outscored by our Defense/Special Teams so far this year! So I wasnt really trying to "Ben Pumphrey" anyone in my posts...honest injun!

 

BUT I am still driving almost 2 hours(one way) to cheer for those LCA Eagles and I hope we win the game and I can come on this thread and reveal myself as the "nephew" of Ben Pumphrey!

No insult with a Pumphrey reference EE, Raceland had some real battles with his teams. Also, any nephew of Ben Pumphrey is welcome at Raceland :lol:

You guys are giving LCA alot more credit than we really deserve in this game...but I hope you are right - and it IS a close game.

 

I am being sincere in our lack of experience at QB - we may even be starting the Freshman, Witt (#7) in this game because he really did a better job last week at Corbin...either way - we will be young and inexperienced at QB with a Sophomore or a Frosh.

 

I hope OldRambler is healthy enough to go to the game - It is always fun to meet the people on these threads because we ALL live by the same motto -

"The OLDER I get...The BETTER I WAS!"

 

And we really like the sports for the comraderie and for the friendships developed from being around those sports.

OldRambler - I have seen Mike Fields with the H-L be pretty fair about his coverage -

 

the other thing is to get coverage you HAVE to have somebody give them the data - the more data & support & information they get - the more coverage they give you!

 

Make sure your AD or Person in charge of the press correspondence hooks up with me tonight and I can get Mike Fields' email and contact info to them.

I hope to be there to meet you bgp guys from LCA. I don't know if I can make it yet or not. With the problems (health) I have it is usually a "game time decision". Cville will let you know though I am sure. Also, EE you made a very good point bout the info getting to the press.
