tcjkbt Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 He'll be in the Army-Navy game next year, correct? What a thrill that will be. Trent Steelman was shown on the broadcast this year in a very positive light. He is also from BG, I believe. Congrats to him....by all accounts he is a tremendous young man.

Bear3 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 When the dreams you're dreamin' come to you When the work you put in is realized Let yourself feel the pride but Always stay humble and kind When Tim McGraw wrote this, he had no idea that he was describing Jamale Carothers. There may be better players in Kentucky but there will be none that will handle success in a better fashion than "Juice". Honestly, he is even more deserving of "Teammate of the Year" than he is "Player of the Year".
macdon Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I believe he will make the Navy or Marines an excellent leader.
Purple Nation Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Everyone likes a winner. His football accolades speak for themself. How cool is this: Honor student, senior class favorite, Coach Wallace tries not to pick favorites but on numerous occasions has stated Caruthers is near the top of his list, will serve our country, will study to become a dentist, hopes to practice dentistry back in Bowling Green. Not bad for an 18 year old kid. Awesome
truebluefan89 Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Congrats, sounds like he has his stuff together on and off the field!
macdon Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 I heard former Titan All Pro CB Blaine Bishop talk about playing Navy when he was at Ball State. He said running into one of those guys was like hitting a rock wall. He also said they never let up. Hit you as hard the last play as the first play. Did not matter what the score happened to be. He said they always dreaded playing Navy because the Sunday after that game was the most painful of the season. Good to know. I went to the WKU v Navy game in BG as few years ago. The WKU students always boo the opposing team when they run on the field. When Navy took the field the boos started then after a few seconds suddenly stopped. The students seemed to realize "we can't boo these guys".
