Congrats to Jackson and the U.L.. Jackson didn't necessarily do anything to lose it / not deserve it. I have to say that I was a little surprised that after the U.L. losing to Houston, getting blown out and their / Jackson's loss to Clemson, D. Watson that it's jmo that D. Watson deserved the award more. I think that Watson was the better football player, led his team to 2 consecutive conference championships and a NC appearance plus a 2nd consecutive National playoff. Also, led Clemson to a win over U.L., Jackson. Jackson is deserving as well though.

Again, congrats to Jackson, the U.L. / BGP fans.

 

btw ... he (Jackson) does need to take some Speech / Public Speaking classes though ....the longer he talked, the worse that it got. I thought that he was going to pass out . That was rough.

Seriously though, congrats to Lamar, he's the best I've seen at that age in a long time. Probably ever. You never know how that will pan out at the next level, a lot of that will depend on whether he can make it to a team that has a decent OLine.

Such a great runner, I think he will get a shot but probably at the receiver position. Will have to stop putting it on the ground.

What position is he projected to play? Honestly I do think he could be successful at qb as long as he can keep a solid OLine in front of him.

LJ has a 57% completion rate against what I would consider less than stellar defenses. Quarterbacks make their living in the NFL with their arms not running ability.

 

There are times when LJ simply struggles with throwing accuracy, unless he improves dramatically that will be a huge problem at the next level.

That goes back to what I mentioned about the OLine thought. Put a good NFL Oline in front of Jackson and I bet he would look like one of the best qb's in the league. UL's oline isn't a great one by any stretch of the imagination and the only times he has struggled is when they don't hold up on their end.

Prescott at Dallas is a prime example. No one would have thought he would be as good as he is, but he's playing behind arguably the best Oline in football.
