Olivia Schalk (Newport Catholic) out for the season

Featured Replies

Sad news for the NewCath senior point guard as she tore her ACL in the season opener last Saturday against Cooper. Sadly she will probably miss the opportunity to defend her title as the reigning 1A State Champ in the 400M Dash.

Praying for a full and speedy recovery for such a great kid, and a hell of an athlete.

Just horrible! So sad to hear. Here's wishing a speedy recovery.

Ruins my night Hope all goes well during recovery.

She appeared to be in good spirits last night at the boys game...

Hate to see that happen to her!

I hate to hear that! Greg's daughter right?

Yes Greg is her father. Hearing this just makes me so sick to my stomach especially it being her senior year. Liv is such a great kid!! I know she will bounce back from this and hopefully continue her athletics at the next level.

Sad to hear. Hate if for any kid have something like that happen.

This news makes me sick, Olivia is such a great athlete but an even better person, I wish her a speedy recovery, I know she will work hard to get back as soon as possible. I feel for her and her family she has wonderful parents and a huge support group. Wishing her all the best.

So sorry to hear this. Prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.
