Tell us more about Hamilton from Lloyd. What class? Position?

His high level impact performance last night made an instant fan out of me, and though he was rated at Number 10 in Walter's preview, I'd have him in my Top 5.

He's a dynamite high IQ versatile player that works hard, but makes it look easy and natural. He doesn't force anything and has perfect smooth form on his shots with a quick release. He's bursting with a calm cool confidence and reliability that screams winner, and a work ethic that makes clear that he won't settle for less.

Where he goes, the Juggernauts go as he makes everyone around him a better player. In the past I've rarely had reason to keep an eye on Lloyd, but because of him, now I most definitely do.

I recall catching him last season in the All A and being impressed, but until last night he had escaped my memory.

With him, this Lloyd team will without doubt make some noise this season, should be a favorite to win the 9th Region All A along with Newcath, as well as appear in the 9th Region Tournament. As they demonstrated last night, no team better sleep on them.

Tough 1st game for new Coach Collopy. Congrats to the Juggs on the big win.

11 seems low for B Hall. Bad shooting night? Foul trouble?

Three of those points came on a desperation 3 as the game ended. He never got many good looks. Thought lloyd's guards took NCC's out of the game.

Hats off to the Lloyd Juggernauts on not giving up when they were down 27-10 with about 5 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter.

The Breds had too many turnovers that the Juggs capitalized on, and the Breds missed far too many from the land of 3. @B-Ball-fan was sitting with me and said at halftime, the Breds should be up 20 plus if they hit half of their missed 3's.

NewCath's 6'6" twin towers, Jr. Brendan Luken (14 pts) & Sr. Trey Wurtz (10 pts) had good games scoring down low.

Hamilton for Lloyd looked very impressive out there tonight, I had him for a game high 24 points.

I'll agree with what @Walter posted, as tonight this Lloyd team looked like one of their best in some time......was really impressed with how they continued to play hard when a lot of teams would have folded up shop.

NewCath 18-17-10-17---63

Wurtz 10

Moeves 7

Pangallo 6

Neff 5

Jefferson 2

Breds are back in action on Thursday as they travel to Dixie Highway to take on the Red Colonels of Dixie.

If they rely on the 3 pointer it could be a long year.

How many minutes did Jefferson get?

Hall played away from the ball. He had some real good passes to feed big men and caused some defensive turn overs. He took some 3 attempts only made one. At the last 2 min mark he was driving to hole more what he should of been doing more. Collopy subbed way to much for the first game. The new starters for varsity and I don't think he gave time to get a good rhythm going before he was already subbing.

Hall should of been let loose to run the game. First game for Collopy to he's learning as well. Bad game at home to lose the streak that they had going. NCC should have won this game 17 points up not taking away from Lloyd they got into the players head of ncc and some costly technicals hurt them. I would of like to see a time out called after Pangallo tech to settle team down draw up play but none was called. I still look for a good team from NCC it's just the beginning. Good job Lloyd sure NCC will play again.

They won't have to as they're well stacked with bigs Wurtz, Luken, Henschen, and Neff.

Newcath plays 9 and has all of the proper tools for an inside/ outside game.

They also have the benefit of 3 excellent ball handlers in Hall, Pangallo, and Jefferson.

They should win the rebounding war in most games, and if their shots aren't dropping they should get many second chance points compliments of their bigs.

I'm not worried about the Breds this year as they they're pretty solid all around. They began the season facing a very decent team who came to make a statement and succeeded. The Breds have some rusty first game issues that need to be addressed, but nobody should think that they don't have what it takes to have a respectable season.

Isn't he at Beechwood? I saw him wearing a read shirt......Lol!!!!!

Totally agree spot on.

Hall & Moeves spent their Oct and Nov preparing for football games and not 3 pointers. Give it time and their shots will start falling.

Everyone's is learning from the coaches down. They come back with another talented team tomorrow night. Should be fun to watch.

My son played basketball and baseball with Sterling when they were younger. A lefty but can use both hands. Can play inside and out, would like to see him take to the basket more in his senior year. His father played at UC Clermont and has done a nice job with him.

May go see him against Holy Cross on Friday.

Good point....muscle memory is likely not there yet. Still a huge surprise that they lost to Lloyd on their home floor.

Totally forgot to mention this, thanks for mentioning this.

I'd rather say it was a Good Win for Lloyd (on NCC's floor and down 17) rather than a Bad Loss for NCC. And it was. But a think it will do both teams a world of good going forward. Lloyd knows they can win against a quality team. NCC knows they can't just show up and win.

Kind of looking forward to the All-A and where both teams are at that time.
