Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted December 6, 2016 Author Posted December 6, 2016 LCD Soundsystem is awesome. Weezer is a let-down as a headliner. I like Odesza and I get appealing to the EDM crowd by booking them, but they don't give me the feeling of a great headliner. Run The Jewels is a fantastic get, as it Nathanial Rateliff. Charles Bradley, STRFKR, Modern Baseball, and Vince Staples are all solid. I've never been much for Conor Oberst or PJ Harvey. Cage The Elephant is alright.

TheDeuce Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Yep...not going to that. But Waka is gonna be there!
TheDeuce Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I like Odesza and I get appealing to the EDM crowd by booking them, but they don't give me the feeling of a great headliner. They will have the biggest (and best) crowd of any of the headliners. I'm pumped about them.
PutMeInCoach Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Yep...not going to that. Same here, I don't love it at all.
formerkywrestler Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 The more I look at it the more awful it is. I'm not sure there is one act there I'd pay to see....
formerkywrestler Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Girlfriend just informed me one of these is a Christian rock band...
formerkywrestler Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Seems like a massive shift in the demographic they're after.
Habib Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Yep...not going to that. There are a couple of acts I'd like to see, but yea, on the whole it's underwhelming to me.
TheDeuce Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 No 1200? I think back-to-back years would be unprecedented even for a headliner. :lol2:
Knights Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Brent Cobb, Beach Slang, John Moreland, Run the Jewels, and Vince Staples are acts I'd see. Might do a single day ticket if enough of the acts I like end up on the same day, as I've done the last 2 years.
Jim Schue Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 I saw Weezer on the Blue Album tour, so I'm fine with not seeing them again. Curious about LCD Soundsystem, and will also want to see Twin Limb and Foxygen if I can. RTJ I'm definitely down with. Also PJ Harvey — always been a fan. Nathaniel Raetliff is one I'm looking forward to. Pretty indifferent about the rest. I've seen Cage The Elephant last time they were at Forecastle.
