This game goes 1 of 2 ways. 1) Bama blows them out by 30 2) Washingtons O line plays great and Washington wins a shoot out.

I would say there is an 80% chance the 1st option happens.

This sounds about right. Not sure about 30 points, but a convincing Bama win. Washington played one team this season with high caliber athletes and physical O/D lines. USC. They got worked in that game.

I always love the "give this coach a month to prepare" line as if the other coach doesn't have that same month's time to prepare.

Fact is you never know how teams are going to play with the long layoff. If you explained to someone ignorant to college football that you have a sport that is built upon playing each week (sans a bye week) until the playoff games where you take off a month or so before playing, they would look at you like an idiot.

That's still why I am sort of down on Washington and have been ever since that game. You don't see championship teams get dominated by a different class of athletes like Washington did against USC.

It was originally designed around giving the athletes time to take finals and celebrate Christmas, but now it seems ridiculous. That's another reason why the committee doesn't take into account as much the hot team like Penn State and USC and focus on the teams that performed the whole year. The layoff will kill a lot of that momentum.

I would love if this is a close game, but I'm expecting for Bama to beat UW about as bad as they beat MSU last season.

If Washington gets out in front early I don't think Bama can catch up.

Well over the last few years we have seen dominant teams that no one would think would lose, end up losing. The UK 38 and 1 team fell short. The Golden State Warriors last year, even the Carolina Panthers last year who only lose once and was destroying teams in the playoffs going into the super bowl.

 

Then when you add into the mix that Washington's Coach has always done a great job preparing his team's for bowl games. I am going to say Washington wins 27 to 24.

 

That's what I call a bold prediction.

 

Good start by Washington. Now I need them to do that all game lol.
