Congrats to the Golden Eagles. They continue to impress each week. Coach Matney and his staff have done an outstanding job, and Johnson Central will continue to make a lot of noise as the season progresses.

Bryan Station's skill players, especially the WRs (Miller-Hughes and Dawson), are great athletes and must be accounted for on every play. Their QB has a credible arm, but their line doesn't give him much time to throw when the pressure comes. Their running backs are so-so (the big starting TB wore down visibly toward the end of the game).

The defensive team effort was fantastic tonight. I thought Trey Belhasen especially did a great job covering the giant Miller-Hughes. He gave up several inches in height, but stayed with him, had several break-ups (one big one which probably saved a touchdown), and a big interception toward the end of the game. Great game by Central's # 23 tonight. Craig Hampton also looked good covering on the other side, and Tommy Taylor had a crucial pick and a couple of break-ups. The secondary has been the difference in the defense this year - I don't remember JCHS EVER being strong against the pass, but we've played three straight passing teams and basically shut down all three.

Was also good to see Cody Lowe back out there. Can't wait to get Ousley and Richardson and Ratliff all back out there with their teammates at the same time.

The crowd was around 3,000. One thing that JC is doing that will build their program is having the elementary football night, like they did tonight at half time. That will keep alot of kids intrest. The public address man for JC really gets into the game.

He tries his best to keep everybody up. :thumb: There are some Saturday mornings he still doesn't have all his voice back, either. Those are the best ones.

WAY TO GO CENTRAL

The fireworks shot after the game are better than the fireworks shot on the 4th of July.

JC needs to get some love from wymt, that is 2 weeks in a row that they havent been there to record for sports overtime.

Central looked very good... They played good on both sides of the ball... Micheal Tacket ........ man did he have some hard hits tonight... He is my vote for player of the game for the eagles on D..

JC played pretty well tonight but not great. The defense was tested tonight against the pass and played okay. The run defense was very solid as they held BS to -27 yds i believe is the exact number. BS has some good athletes with great size, I just have a hard time understanding how this team does win alot more games. The offense of JC was clicking for the most part and looks to still be strong in both the running and passing game. The depth of this years JC team is unbelievable, lost another solid lineman tonight in Ryan Baldwin who played on both the offensive and defensive lines. Congrats to JC on the win and now lets get ready for the real season next week as we take on Lawrence Co. Good luck to BS on the rest of your season.

I would give JC a B+ tonight. Concidering the players out with injuries, I cant wait to see this JC team with all their players healty.

JC IS #1 in mountian top ten:dancingpa it doent really mean anything but its cool to talk about

I agree, it doesnt matter if JC is ranked 1st in every poll in the state. But rankings never win championships.

The Eagles played a B- game tonight! They had several guys injured who would have made a difference. I was impressed with the way JCHS ran the ball again. They are tough to stop with all those backs. It's a stable at JCHS, any horse can beat you at anytime.

Lets not forget about JC's coaching staff. Matney, Reeves, Burchett, Cook, Patterson, Webb, Baldwin, Sheperd, Estep and anybody I forgot... good game plan tonight. Keep the W's coming in.

I forgot to metion it in my first post but Micheal Tackett was a freak tonight. Some of those hits he laid on the BS players really shook them up. That hit where he tossed the guy out of bounds was amazing. I thought that Nathanial Dials also had some great hits along with about 3 or 4 sacks. Really the whole JC defense was solid tonight.
