Dayton 33 Lloyd 13

Is the end near for Roy Lucas?

Good question. I think he's done a very good job at Lloyd, but as I like to say, time will tell...

One live look at the roster, and you know they are there. Lloyd seems like it's a school district that repeats a 10 year cycle of 50/50 athletic performance with almost no middle ground. The overall talent level is down across the school right now. I hear a lot of good things about the younger kids on the way, but it could be a year or two before we see the improvement. The numbers still seem fine, and they kids play hard...

On the surface, I agree with your post. I think there's more to it than that, but we agree this isn't the best "talent cycle" in the history of the school.

It's best I leave it at that....

Couldn't agree more.

Great win for the devils. What has yet to be mentioned is the great job their linemen are doing this year often against larger opponents. Those are the guys who get no "ink" but apparently are a big part of making that wheel turn!I keep hearing about Dayton's offseason weight training program, and it obviously is working. Good job Devils:ylsuper:

Great job Devils. Congratulations to Coach Lickert, his staff and his players.

But, since you opened this road for traveling.

Dayton beat Grant County at Grant 14-12.

Ludlow lost to Grant County at Ludlow 33-13.

Puts a different spin on things, eh.

And a very fair assessment you make my friend and I'm not trying to make excuses for my beloved Panthers but they had numerous turnovers at very key times during the game that cost them dearly. Not to take anything from Grant Cty beating the Panthers because they took care of the opportunities they were given..I think Ludlows matchup next week with Bellevue will be able to tell us more about Bellevue and Ludlow and how things will play out.. Dayton is to be congratulated for their nice start and a good win over an apparently bad Lloyd team. Ludlow, Bellevue and Dayton seem to be pretty close in talent this year and will only make the race to the playoffs that much more fun to watch. Good luck to all 3 schools and may the best teams win..
