I want chaos

Featured Replies

I don't want chaos , I need it.

I want Washington and Clemson to win out and the committee to try and leave one off after telling us the previous two years winning your conference matters.

Even better would be for Penn St to win the Big 10 title and be left out.

I need it!

That's not chaos. That's expected. The past 2 years the 8 conference championships have been won by the team that was predicted to win. Chaos would be Washington and Clemson losing.

It's 100% chaos if what I described happens. The committee is praying Washington or Clemson lose.

OSU is in I agree .

But they are either going to have to leave out a 1 loss conference champ or a team who beat OSU and won the Big 10 in the scenario I listed. Which again would contradict how the committee has done things the last couple years .

I want atleast an 8 team playoff. Chaos will force this to happen sooner rather than later.

Its chaos because you are deciding between 3 teams which has been the case both of the first 2 years. If Clemson and Washington lose and Penn State wins then you have Alabama and Ohio State in no matter what. But then you have 2 loss Clemson, Colorado, Oklahoma/ Oklahoma State, Michigan, Penn State/ Wisconsin, and 3 loss USC who hasnt lost since September. To pick for 2 spots. That is the level of chaos I'm rooting for.

If Washington or Clemson lose they are out. There isnt chaos

Who gets in? I would say Oklahoma and USC. Which would be quite the story line because both semifinals would be rematches. With OU and USC having gotten drastically better since their blowouts early in the season.

The big 10 title winner.

The big 10 title winner.
Shoot I feel stupid now I don't know how I forgot about that. Haha

If it were up to me, I would leave the Pac-12 champ out whether Washington wins out or not. I don't see how the Pac-12 has proven that they belong with the best in the ACC, SEC or Big 10.

Outside of themselves they haven't beaten anybody. As a conference they have only beat 3 FBS OOC schools with winning records. Both UCLA and Utah beat BYU (8-4), Stanford beat Kansas St (7-4), and Colorado beat Colorado St. (7-5).

At least the Big 10 schools still in the playoff consideration have some decent wins such as Wisconsin against LSU and Ohio St against Oklahoma. I think this year the Big 10 deserve to have two schools in the playoff.

If you do get chaos (Clmenson/Washington/Penn St win outs) then the committee will just have to figure how to rationalize whatever they do so it does not look like what it will be - made for TV (ratings) tournament.

Keeping Penn State out (assuming they win-out) while taking Clemson under similar situations would be interesting.
