November 30, 20169 yr I've said it before and I'll keep saying it until it happens and I think we all know it's going to happen. We need an 8 team playoff... Disagree. Just need clear cut criteria and no subjectivity. If the committee has harped on Conference Championship being a heavily weighted criteria, they need to stick to that and not get off course.
December 1, 20169 yr It's 100% chaos if what I described happens. The committee is praying Washington or Clemson lose. OSU is in I agree . But they are either going to have to leave out a 1 loss conference champ or a team who beat OSU and won the Big 10 in the scenario I listed. Which again would contradict how the committee has done things the last couple years . Conference champ is a tie breaker, if there is in fact a tie which there isn't over the entire seasons body of work.

If you've been listening to the committee they are far from harping on conference championships. I honestly don't think the conference championship label means anything. The extra win over a good team means something to them, but the label of conference champ doesn't.
