So the Dems might nominate a Muslim black guy to lead the national party ?

Featured Replies

Nation of Islam friend and Louis Farakan friend Keith Ellison is a leading choice to head the DNC .. that ought to help get the white working class voters back ... LOL .. Go Keith Go ... are the dems that far removed from reality that they would even consider a guy that controversial ?

Left wing extremist Bernie and Native American Elizabeth Warren both think he should be the choice. Too funny , if it were not sad for the dem's . O where O where has my party went ? ( says many a moderate working class D )

Ahhh, we should have give him a chance. Maybe he is just guilty by association.

Plus we shouldn't fall for propaganda from the media. All they want to do is divide us anyways. I'm sure he is a great guy with good intentions for the whole country.

Isn't that what Stephen Bannon apologists say?

The D's learned nothing from this election.

This D has learned a lot. :D

Why does it matter if he is black and muslim? The fact that these are the first attributes that people mention to describe someone, is precisely why race relations are the way they are. I'm not a Keith Ellison because we have very different policy beliefs. I couldn't care less if he is black and muslim.

This D has learned a lot. :D

lol. See you Friday night. It will be a good one.

While Ellison was a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, he wrote several articles for the Minnesota Daily that defended Farrakhan, saying that he is not anti-Semitic, according to The Washington Post. One of these articles was dug up during Ellison’s congressional campaign in 2006. It was also revealed that Ellison had worked with the Nation of Islam for about 18 months and had helped Farrakhan organize the 1995 Million Man March in Washington.

:thumb: I hope it is better than the last time. I think it will be.

Do we have audio or video of his racism and association with Farrakhan?

Maybe he was just joking if we do.

I was getting ready to do some research on him. Is that the best you have? You do understand that the Million Man March was a peaceful demonstration don't you?

I don't agree with some of the things the Nation of Islam says but they are one of the most respected organizations in the black community. Farakkhan is very outspoken and about as anti-Semitic as Stephen Bannon is. When he addresses the black community he preaches about self worth and he has done more for the black community than any man I have seen in my lifetime. He'll never back down from his rhetoric so I understand why he will never be seen as a friend of America by a lot of white America.

Or taken out of context.

The media has made a big deal of many peoples race and nationality who are running for office , and many have written about the D's huge loss of the white working class . Its a national topic all though I get where you are coming from GrantKy -- I wish it were not so , but it is a issue . Like if the R's decided to nominate Ben Carson I wouldn't think , Oh boy , an Afro American , I'd think GREAT CHOICE .

I wouldn't. I can't imagine Dr. Carson being a good choice for anything political.

And if we are going to question whether Farakan is a racist I'll just check out now . Dude hates Jews . That makes him a racist .
