Congratulations to Grace Berger the sensational Junior at Sacred Heart for committing to Indiana. She also plays for Kentucky Premier EBYL team on the AAU circuit.

Congrats! Fun player to watch!

What an exciting talent......can't wait to see her play again this year, congrats to this outstanding young lady !

Wow, nice! I thought it would be UK or Louisville from everything I had read. Hope to catch a game!

Butler has five that have signed, Mercer County has five committed, is it safe to say they are front runners for state? Does anyone else have that many on one team?

I think both Male and Sacred Heart do albeit some are just Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen!

Berger, Sivils, Toller, Marshall, Samsel and Cleamons are all D1 at different levels. Some may choose other schools but they have the potential to play D1.

Sacred Heart has two with verbal commitments to D1 colleges.

I would add Harris to that list. Fichter is also college potential player.

I know JJ knows this, just because a kid chooses to play for a D2 school for various reasons, doesn't mean the player isn't D1 caliber.

Absolutely and it's the same in many other sports. My daughter has interest and can play at Division 1 softball level but ultimately will probably go Division 2 because of the educational areas of interest that she wants to pursue.

My daughter chose to play D2 and had 7 D1 offers. Never regretted a minute.

Some D2 programs are comparable if not better than D1 programs. People throw "D1" around all the time. But that could be UCONN or it could be Murray State (no disrespect intended). It is just a huge gap to throw a blanket "D1" on all of them. Locally (women's basketball):

Bellarmine D2-Murray State D1 good game???

Bellarmine-Morehead State D1 good game???

U of L-Bellarmine NOT even competitive

My point is who cares what number comes after the D. As long as the kids have a chance to play at the next level (and possibly save mom and dad some college money), that is what should matter.
