He also has stated in the past he would like eliminate the department. So I hope that means we can get him to cut the budget in that department.

It's seriously comedy at this point but folks don't care. It's just so weird. In most cases it really is like making Walter White the head of the DEA. In other cases he is contradicting everything he based his campaign on. Nothing to see here though. I guess.

Based on the rule Trump set in place on his cabinet Perry could not be a lobbyist for 5 years after leaving his cabinet position. It's not like Perry isn't qualified.
