Cincinnati 64 Bellarmine 55

Cats pulled away at the end. The knights kept it close throughout. Didn't see the start but it looked as if Augusta legend Brent Bach got the start. Rusty Troutman led all scoring with 20.

Fredrick did not play nor did Ben Weyer who I heard is having foot issues for Bellermine. Cov Cath walk on Zach Tobler did not get in for the Cats.

Just loved seeing all of the KY boys on the rosters.

Good luck to the D2 third ranked Nights the rest of the season. (Except for one game on December 7th).

That's the night Bellarmine will pull off the win. :D

Did Cumberland play? IF so, how did he do?

9 pts 3 rebounds in 21 minutes

1/5 from 3.

Scotty Davenport just knows how to put together a great D-II basketball team. I hope to catch a couple games this year. Looks like a nice effort from the Knights.

Cronin didnt seem very happy with the cats play last night.

Cronin is never happy with his team's play. It's preseason, so he needs to take every opportunity available to practice lamenting now so he is 100% ready to go when the regular season starts.

Is that leprechaun ever happy?

Same here.

Cincinnati definitely has some things to work on but a lot of credit should go to Bellarmine. You won't find too many teams that cut, screen, pass, and block out as well as Bellarmine does, and a lot of that has to do with how good a coach Scott Davenport is. They execute at a high level and are an extremely unselfish bunch.

Any time you can finish 12-28 from outside, you are going to be in a game at the end of the night. Bellarmine took smart shots and never got sped up. Defensively they packed it in and basically forced the Bearcats to beat them with jumpers and outside shots.

Jenifer and Moore (yes, Quadri) played very well for UC last night with stud soph Jacob Evans sitting out as a precaution due to a prior foot injury. Was disappointed with the play (no show) of guys like Caupain and Gary Clark and Mick thought the same in his post game presser.

Cumberland looked like a freshman at times for UC but he is definitely going to have a great career in red and black. Just a high basketball IQ and plays smart basketball, for the most part, at both ends.

Bellarmine should have a great season at the D2 level. Interested to see how they fare against Indiana on Sat and Louisville on Monday.
