I know Sacks are not an officially tracked stat as far as the KHSAA record books go but I would love to know what Rays final sack count was. I know at one point he was averaging 1 sack per game or something crazy like that.

 

If Sacks were an official stat I have no doubt Ray would be among the Top 10 All-Time

Me and another Belfry fan have actually been combing through some KHSAA records to see if some guys can get their names on the leader boards... will have a few of those and some team numbers that will be worth Belfry submitting (also a side note it also may be time to finally submit the 2004 team's rushing yardage)

Yep it was a little over 5300 yards, good for 3rd all time.

To help put a cap on this:

 

- This Senior Class Finishes with 5 Division 1 Signees. Not sure a Kentucky "small school" has ever had that happen in a single class.

 

- In Belfry's long History up until the start of the 2013 Season the Pirates were 7-33 ALL-TIME against teams that would reach the State Finals. This Senior Class went 9-0 against State Finals teams during their 4 year run!

 

- Until the start of 2013 Belfry had only defeated 3 total teams that would go on to win their State Championship (Williamson, WV 1961, Pikeville 1989, NewCath 2006). This Senior class alone defeated three eventual State Champs (KnoxCath 2015, Pikeville 2015, Johnson Central 2016).

Horton is the best defensive player in West Virginia as well. Should be the next big name at EKU. Look forward to seeing him dominate the OVC.

The only name I havent seen anything on is Andrew Fletcher. Know he had some D-3 and NAIA Offers so curious to see if he chooses to continue playing football or not.
