NKY BGP Fan Poll - Week Three

Featured Replies

Well according to Malachi, Holmes being 2-1 means nothing because they lost to HC...even though they handled Pendleton (like they should have have) and beat a good South Laurel team in convincing fashion

Is South Laurel a good team? They are 1 - 2 with the win being a 1 point victory over a winless Corbin team.

I think Fbstud was speaking comparitively. South Laurel is good compared to Holmes other opponents this year:D

 I would guess that HC is better than South Laurel.

IMO this poll should be based on teams performances so far, but I guess we're going on reputation rather than what's been shown so far

Well put fballstud06 I have the tape of the Holmes-Holy Cross game and if you sit and watch that and don't have a gripe with the officals in that game you should never question another call in any game. The Bulldogs should be

3-0 going into the bye week and would be sitting at worst 5-6th in the rankings. Was it 2 or 3 touchdowns called back? Im sure they made good calls on all 3 of those call backs. The only one was the clip in the back on Matt Valdez #41.

Yea actually I wasn't in town for the HC game but from what i heard (from some HC faithful), Holmes had the game wrapped up after a kickoff return by Palmer and then the refs totally took over. But I can't speak on that subject because like I said, I was out of town for the game.

I agree cshs81, IMO Dixie would roll over Newport.

Is your pick at #7 a typo? You have a team that is 0-3 and not been in a game yet at #7? Is NKY football that bad? Isnt SK undefeated?

I have to ask this question. When is the last time that SK beat Dixie? Has Spritsky ever not had his team ready to play in district? O-3 against real competion in not an indicator that Dixie is going to be down. When the dust clear, I guarantee they will be fighting for a top three spot in the district, if not the top spot. I am not sure about SK. I remember a 5-0 start for SK when I was in High School that turned into the same old thrashings once they played the solid competition in their district. They have to beat Campbell, Dixie, Boone, and Ryle on their schedule. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see them getting any better than the four seed.
