Yep, it's the greatest hip-hop song ever

After much consideration over 3 decades of hip-hop music fandom, I have determined the absolute best tune ever is:

"Shadowboxin" by GZA

Cousin of RZA?

Cousin of RZA?

GZA is one of the more prominent members of the Wu-Tang Collective.

And cousin to both RZA and ODB.

Sounded good but when something like 10 of the first 12 words were profanity I turned it off.

That is unfortunate, but I understand.

I'd offer "One Love" by Nas as a legitimate contender.

Get out.

Get out.

It barely cracks my top 5 off that album. It is, however, an undeniably good song in all aspects, unless you want to argue it doesn't make people move. What's your angle here?

I breaks it down to the bone bristle,

ill speaking scud missile heat seeking,

Johnny Blazing,

Nightmares like Wes Craven,

Brothers gunning,

my third eye seen it coming,

before it happened,

Yeah, no argument from me at all, Jim. That album is one of the top 5-10 albums of all time in hip hop.

My angle is that One Love is a vastly underrated song that many people sleep on. What he was able to do visually with One Love in Belly was one of the more creative things I have ever seen. That being said give me......Ether, I Gave You Power and Take It In Blood(my all time favorite NaS joint) over One Love.

Shawdowboxin' isn't my favorite song off of that album(B.I.B.L.E. is) but I can respect anyone who appreciates the lyricism displayed throughout that album.

NVM... Forgot you were a Wu fanatic.

One of the biggest ones you'll ever talk to. :lol2:

I don't know what the greatest hip-hop song of all time is, but whatever it is... Wu-Tang wrote it.
