According to the Stats in the paper

Pulaski rushed 18 times for 33 yards 1TD

SW rushed 44 times for 249 yards

 

Pulaski passed 16/27 for 209yards

SW passed 5/11 62 yards 2 int

 

Pulaski had a first half TD called back on a penalty and ended up turning the ball over on downs 3 or 4 times in the first half. A fumble early in the 2nd half halted another Pulaski drive. Southwestern just pounded the ball all night long and were able to just wear them down. Pulaski cut it to 8 in the 4th qtr but SW was able to eat up clock and get one more score to put it away.

 

I don't know if last week (South Laurel) and this week is a trend or a hiccup for the Maroons. They stumbled last year at the end of the season nearly losing to Bourbon and North Laurel in the waning weeks before getting beat down early in the Highlands game. Even though Bourbon, North Laurel and Highlands all had the Maroons on the ropes they found a way to come back and win each of those games...time will tell if this team can do the same.

 

SW is a power run team...Wishbone, Wishbone, Wishbone with a solid D. They are capable of making it to BG also.

 

I still, as of today, would favor the Maroons in a rematch.

Yes, but just across town. Home field in that game shouldn't mean much.
