St. X 58 Fern Creek 13

Is the St. Xavier kicking game an issue. I know that we both have had tremendous kicking games in the past, and I for one am suprised that a return came against X, especially because I feel their coverage is superior than most in the state.

Reason is: All but on of our kicks have gone in the endzone, we have only missed one kick (PAT or FG), and we are averaging over 47 yards per punt. Not to mention, that our returners seem to be quite dangerous this season. No prodding, just wondering, what is up with the special teams play at X this season? Is it top notch, like normal?

RP, this sounds like more of a Trinity commercial for your kicking game rather than a question about the status of the X kicking game. How are your stats pertinent to resolving our problem?

By the way, I would love to see ND go after Tydlacka. The Irish seem to have found a punter in Price, but desperately need a placekicker. Ryan is one of those rare individuals who can do a great job on both.

Is that your answer? I was simply giving a frame of reference.

There was an answer before the question. See Ox's post (#8). The first three paragraphs are dedicated to X's "un"special teams play thus far.

Sorry about that....nioce synopsis, sounds weird for the Xaverians....

BTW, what's up with DJ Hall, haven't heard his name being tossed around lately.

We aren't allowed to ask. Ox says that kind of question is "venom". FYI, I wondered the same thing.

You should also read Post #8 above where I have already answered the question in detail before it was even asked...strike one. :D

Hurt again. Played the first couple series at WR, then up on the trainers' table, shoulder pads off for the rest of the game. I think ankle again but not sure.

BTW, I love Trinity fans. Maybe we can get together, hold hands and sing Kumbahyah. : )

DJ also returned the opening kickoff against Fern Creek. A lot of times, ankle injuries are tough to shake during the season.

Actually the first "team building" fan retreat occurred in December, 2004, during the state finals, and strangely everyone seemed to get along fine, and some good relationships were formed. :thumb:

I agree, I met some really interesting St.X supporters at the title game that were full of information about the inner-workings of St.X football.

Is it a "high ankle sprain"? Those can be the worst. In 2000 Phillips from Trinity was sidlined for most of the season with one. I hope this isn't the case for Hall's sake.
