February 13, 20179 yr Seems odd that there was no one at the boat when Rick was there before. and the cable deal to sever the walkers was kinda cool. Didn't boots stalk him there?
February 13, 20179 yr Author Didn't the Whisperers walk around wearing zombie blood and guts? I think this is a new group that isn't in the comics. Could be. I am just guessing; never read the comics. They skin zombies and then wear their faces over their own. They travel among them too, so I don't think the group last night was the Whisperers. I assumed it was that group of women Tara encountered. How far into the comics are we? Glenn was killed in issue 100, so we're somewhere in the 110-115 range. A season on the show usually encompasses about 16-18 issues. To give you an idea of how much comic book story is left to be told, issue 164 comes out tomorrow.
February 13, 20179 yr Author I thought last night's episode was decent. Liked everyone being together, but also thought there were several cheesy moments.
February 15, 20179 yr I think Rick smiled because he saw their weapons. I think he smiled because he saw Gabriel.

February 15, 20179 yr That's interesting. Here's my reasoning... Gabriel left clues, right? And Rick is convinced that Gabriel wouldn't abandon them. Remember how Gabriel got out of the car and started walking back when Spencer was talking about how Rick was bad for the group? I think he found the boat and the people from the junkyard. If you rewatch the scene at the beginning of Sunday's episode, when he gets in the car to drive away, it appears there is someone else in the car with him. Flash forward to the previews for this coming episode and the lady tells Rick, "We now own your lives, would you like to buy them back?" My thought is they got a hold of Gabriel and in order to buy his life back, he had to give them supplies (which is what he was taking). My thought is Gabriel has been trying to convince them to join forces with Rick, and when Rick sees him, he's not a prisoner, which causes him to smile.

I think a ton of people missed the person in the car with him.
