October 17, 20169 yr Author Washington has the 2nd worst SOS in the Top 30. The Pac 12 sucks. They can't help that. They can only blow out the teams they have in front of them and they are certainly doing that.
October 17, 20169 yr Author Maybe. However, immaterial given that Nebraska is going to lose 1 to 3 games between now and Christmas, so it will play itself out. They are a whole lot better than last year, but they have no real place in this conversation (in my opinion). I think they'll go 10-2. I see them beating Iowa but losing to Wisconsin and Ohio State. But 10-2 in Mike Reilly's 2nd year is pretty dang good. With Wisconsin already having 2 losses if Nebraska only loses 2 games and Wisconsin drops another game somewhere that puts NU into the championship game. If Nebraska was in the Big XII still they would be a playoff team this year.
October 17, 20169 yr I'm having trouble believing Michigan is a top 4 team. They do not play their first challenging game until the last game of the year. Is that enough to warrant top 4?

I hate the fact that even years the Huskers go to Madison, Columbus, and Iowa City...brutal. Their 2018 schedule is God-awful. They better make hay in 2017. :hungry:

That's why you see schools like Auburn, Pitt, UNC, etc. still technically alive. His thinking is if they can win their conference championship they have a shot at the playoff. He did break them down to two tiers....The first 10 schools I listed are his "still in contention" teams. The rest are "on the fence".
