RACELAND What do Raceland’s stout stud senior defensive tackles mean to the fourth-ranked Rams on the field?

“There’s no doubt it starts with those two guys up front,” coach Michael Salmons said of Isaac Wallace and Jerome Hall.

That’s not where the great responsibility and pressure ends for Wallace and Hall, though.

 

Being run-stuffing nightmares for opposing offensive linemen isn’t their only similarity.

Wallace and Hall each serve as father figures to younger siblings in what Salmons termed “nontraditional homes.”

“The way they’ve almost taken on the role of a father at such a young age has had a really tremendous impact on them,” Salmons said, “and I think the other guys see and observe that, and it automatically gains them respect, above and beyond the way they carry themselves.

That field being re surfaced with a completely new playing surface, be it natural or artificial is badly needed. I have no idea if any plans for that are in place or not but it should be a top / # 1 priority. .....As soon as this season is over.
