I don't think the passing was abandoned. Just a Game Plan. Ryle was still 10-14 passing. with 1 TD. A second long TD wide open TD was dropped, would have been a 70+ yd TD. But you are right, 33 rush attempts vs 14 pass attempts. Usually the other way around for Ryle. I think it shows balance. Their two running backs can catch the ball too.

I have seen Ryle play twice this year and Chisholm is one of the top backs in the state hands down. Great vision, very elusive and the kid has wheels, if you are even he is leavin. His stats are great and could be twice as good because he alternates series with the senior running back and has probably only played two full games due to blowouts.

Chisholm has been good since he arrived at Ryle.

Ryle has the premier QB in NKY and quite possibly the state. To abandon the passing game would be very foolish. Ryle seems at times to have difficulty getting their receivers open. They are not particularly big. Possibly it may be time to insert their taller DB's into the Offensive rotation. They are very capable receivers especially Cooper Scherer, Justin Selby, and Zach Rytlewski. This time of the year it's time to get your best on the field as much as possible. Tanner Morgan has an outstanding command of the game and the field situations. Hopefully he has the green light to check off at the line. Jake Chisholm and Cole Burch along with the Ryle line have been an unexpected pleasure this season. But make no mistake about who holds the glue together. The raiders are on a great run but they would not be there without the leadership of Tanner Morgan. Now more than ever it is time to exploit all the offensive weapons in the Raider arsenal. Should be a great game Friday, hope the weatherman cooperates.

 

Tanner is a great leader but there are multiple leaders on this team that are "holding the team together" This is not a one man show by any means. Also, you may need to look a little closer and see that there are receivers getting open. They only threw the ball a hand full of times in the first half.

Jake and Cole were only a surprise from the standpoint that this years line was an unknown quantity. they are getting better every week. as the man said "From here on out, the rubber meets the road. Exciting times for Raider Football fans. ps. Let the record reflect that Tanner Morgan is committed to the #24 Division 1 team in the country. Ironic don't you think that they saw what so many others have not seen.

IMO this is a close game at half and halftime adjustments decide the outcome. Conner was in great shape against SK going in to the half - SK's adjustments opened up their running game and shut Conner's offense down in the second half.

 

Hopefully the Conner coaching staff has learned from that game and added a few pages to the playbook. You know Ryle will have a few new scripts to run in the second half.

Ryle's Offense outplayed Cooper's on Friday. Cooper did a great job and a the best impression of the West Coast Offense that I have ever seen. Quick passes for 5-8 yards, then set up the longer pass, which was usually on TD's. The few big running plays were well blocked up front. Mostly killed Ryle through the air on the short passes. Ryle adjusted, but adjusted late. Clearly evident on the film. Conner has a lot of weapons on Offense, but Ryle has proven to have a bunch too. I think it will be close, but not as close as Cooper. Go Raiders : )

 

I would definitely not say that Ryle's offense outplayed Cooper's on Friday but that is opinion on opinion. Ryle won by a TD, and scored on a kickoff return for a TD. I think that Ryle's defense played slightly better than Cooper's which was the difference in the game. Offenses were about as even as you could possibly be. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Cooper had more yards offensively than Ryle, but I am not sure if that is the case or not. It is definitely close!

 

Either way, this is about Ryle and Conner. I think that Ryle will struggle to stop the big RB from Conner, but I do not know if Conner will be able to score enough to play with Ryle or limit Ryle when they are on the field defensively. We will find out how good Conner is this week. I do think it will be close, somewhere in the 14 point range for Ryle. The fact that it may rain Thursday and they play on grass could definitely help the Cougars though, in my opinion.

Very true, it possibly could be, but we don't know yet. Ryle's offense is no slouch either! Should be a good battle!

This game is all about match ups, Ryle defends the run very well. This game will be won in the trenches and both of these teams are very good there.

Ryles dual threat pass/run prevails.

Ryles Special Teams play versus Conners will help give Ryle the advantage as well. After some personnel changes early in the season, Ryle has done a good job of controlling field position in games. A definitive advantage in tight games having confidence in your kicker and special teams play.
