I'm almost positive some AP voters just pull up the KHSAA records and rank from 1-10 on that list. Explains Casey getting a first place vote this week and Allen Central getting one last week.

Then the one where Bracken County handled Harlan but voters continue to place Harlan ahead of them.

I admit to not being well versed on teams outside of Louisville. Lexington Christian at #2 in 2-A surprised me. What are their quality wins?

I'm not sure. Maybe Fairview? They have three wins over ranked-or-almost-ranked 1A teams (Fairview, Kentucky Country Day, Williamsburg). They beat a decent 2A team in Walton-Verona and a decent 3A in Estill County. Their final win is over a really weak Green County team. I think LCA is pretty good but the resume doesn't prove much right now, although they'll have a couple chances for big skins against Danville and Somerset in the next couple of weeks.

Judging by the fact Lexington Catholic only has a total 6 points tells me that there are at a MAXIMUM 6 of the 22 voters that deserve to be allowed to cast ballots, and even then that would mean 6 voters had them at 10th.. I am thinking maybe there are a total of 4 voters who have a clue what they are doing.

Last week Allen Central received a first place vote in 2A... lots of people with votes either do not take it seriously or do not pay any real attention.
