Kansas State student expelled for Snapchat photo

It's a false narrative to say that people don't care about one pic in a post in a thread that isn't related to the topic at hand. I had to google him to find out the story.

By the same logic, it could be said that it didn't really bother anyone when it happened because no one decided to post a thread on it. I don't believe that. I believe that it bothers just about everyone.

You mean it didnt fit the BGP narrative to create a thread for it right?

Sorry, but I disagree. People react if it bothers them, as we've seen in many threads. My feeling is it doesn't bother too many. We'll agree to disagree, but I've seen far too many other threads where people react differently. I really feel people love to hate on the police right now. It's another media driven agenda.

What BGP narrative? People create the threads they want. Why didn't you create a thread for it?

Okay, we can disagree. Why didn't someone care enough to post it as a thread on its own as opposed to post it in a five day old thread?

I don't know. I rarely, if ever create a thread on something that's been mentioned in another thread, I just comment on it if I find it worthy, which I did. I can only assume others do likewise.

The cop killing tweet pre-dates the tweet that this thread was based on.

I'm not seeing why that matters. I don't control what or when others post. I didn't see it when the tweet was made, so I never posted it. Then again I don't use Twitter too often, it's a breeding ground for this hateful kind of garbage. Far worse than what I see or hear on FB. If I had heard about it, I would likely have made a thread about it. The media didn't make much if any noise about it, one reason I never heard about it.

There was a thread on Crowell's social media mess. It was in the Pro football forum.

Thanks. That's why I didn't see it. Not too many Ravens threads in there, so I don't venture in too much. I'll check it out now.

Ah, didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.

Ditto, I just recently started to venture back in there, but if it isn't a Cowboys thread, I rarely check it out.

I think that you missed my point. You and others are saying people don't care about it or excuse it because they aren't commenting on it after it was posted in a five day old thread. I'm saying couldn't it as easily be said that those that complain really didn't care about it as the didn't bother to post a thread on it after it happened.

It often creates a false narrative when we come to conclusions based off what people don't do, on message boards in particular and usually in life, too.

I hear ya, I just felt it was getting ignored by some. But now that I've learned there was another thread on it, that may be the reason there weren't many comments. If that's the case, then I stand corrected.

As far as false narratives, I been seeing quite bit of that lately and it's pushing me in a direction I really don't want to go. But I have a feeling it is indeed the direction I'll find myself.

I was glad to find and read the thread on the subject. Thanks, @Hellcats. Glad to see what Crowell has done since that despicable tweet.
