Glen Este 28 Ryle 7

Featured Replies

Hey PBoy, I agree with some of your points. The play calling was very, very poor and predictable and I hope it's only because the QB is out right now.

Glen Este pushed CovCath around pretty good at a scrimmage I watched so you are very wrong that CovCath and Beechwood would beat GE by at least 14 based on what I saw. No way. Highlands is the best team up here IMO and the only team in NKY that would beat GE this year.

My favorite play of the game was when #8 from Ryle absoulutely decked #32 and knocked him out of the game for a short time.

#25 will be at WR when the Qb returns. You are absolutely correct about not easy to move the ball vs. 9 defenders in the box.

Things look bright to me this year at Ryle. They will have a very good season and will not surprise me if they end up at the top of the NKY 4A heap.

That really was a beautiful hit, 32 was twice the size of 8!

Looks like the Raiders will have a say in who wins that NKY4A, particularly if they get healthy.

I guess we get to see Friday night if you are right. NC comes calling. I look for Ryle to beat NC.

Should be a good game... Haven't see SK nor Dixie play yet, but Ryle should handle Boone, Conner, Holmes, and Scott rather easily.

Good luck......

I thought Ryle was heads and tails above any of their AAAA rivals last season and they fell apart at the end of the season. I still think it's a toss up for the #1 spot in our district but I think Ryle will have a good chance of winning once they are healthy.

No doubt Ryle wins the 4A. They should be completely healthy in 3 to 4 weeks.

Just curious, but where is Glen Este from? Ohio, Indiana? From reading the other posts they sound like they must be a pretty good football team. But I have never heard them mentioned with the likes of a Cincy St. X, Elder or Moeller. So is it safe to assume this is an Indiana school?

No, Glen Este is an Ohio school.

I was at the Ryle game today, and at the GE vs CovCath scrimmage.... Ryle impressed me today with their heart, but they still need a lot, not to win in 4A but to win against HHS, CovCath in 3A or even Beechwood or NCC in 1A.....

I think you maybe underestimating Ryle's toughness and overstating Cov.Cath,Beechwood and NCC chances against Ryle. I will agree Ryle would struggle against the Birds.

Wow this game is alot closer than i thought.

Ryle will win 4a because they have the two best backs in 4a. Once they get healthy they will cruise .

RYLE MUST THROW THE BALL MORE, HOPEFULLY WHEN THEIR QB RETURNS THEY WILL. I AGREE MORE PLAYERS NEED TO ROTATE IN TO GIVE THE PLAYERS THAT PLAY BOTH WAYS TIME TO REST. GOOD LUCK FRIDAY!

Thanks for clearing that up. :thumb:

Murray and Gray are outstanding but I'd take a healthy Farris over either.

Mom, welcome to the site! Nice to have you.

Do me a favor please, resist the urge to yell at us (ALL CAPS) in the future. Thanks. :D :thumb:

Enjoy BGP...
