September 2, 201610 yr Good - Jackson settled down and threw the ball well after running too quickly on the 1st couple of series (hard to argue when the run was so successful); WR / TE / RB all caught the ball well (I think Staples could be special & Quick's catch in the endzone was an awesome catch of a great throw) Bad - penalties; OL play (they rely too much on Jackson's escapability); play calling a zone read at the 1 yd. line up big allowing Jackson to take a helmet to helmet hit and fumble (fortunately replay got it right that he broke the plane before he fumbled); Charlotte's screen pass defense Ugly - Charlotte generally; QB Kevin Olsen - after getting bounced by 2 programs (The U and Towson St., I think) he goes to a community college and now to Charlotte. After a bad play you could clearly see him on the sidelines screaming "That's on you guys" repeatedly at his teammates. Seems like a real leader!!! BTW -- what do you have to do to get bounced from The U? I suspect not being very good helped.
September 2, 201610 yr Author Is Lamar the best college style QB UL has ever had? Way too early to tell. Once he really settles into the offense, he will be scary good.
