Its sad how much the program has faltered in the last two years. They actually have two excellent players Ryan Wolf (CUP) and Johnny Trentkamp (KHA) who have been starting since they were freshmen. The problem being is that the coaching staff never focused on teaching the non club players on how to play the game. I would love to touch on all the issues the program has had over the years but I'm not sure this forum could handle the content.

I'll just go out and give Scott a positive since this game was a disaster. Whoever their goalie was in the first half did a phenomenal job. I believe he only let in four goals, two of which were either a PK or a deflection off another teammate. But the the game went downhill after they put in the backup goalie, I think he let in 6 goals in less that 15 min. Does anyone know who this goalie is? I haven't heard of any backups to Seay, since he was their starter since his freshman year?

Is it wrong to long for the good old days when Scott would have been competitive in a game like this, racked up 7 cards (6 yellow and 1 red), and then have their fans argue that it was clearly the other teams fault, there are no issues with their program, and the coach had the team under control? :banana:

 

Sigh. Almost makes my eyes water.

Bummer.

Unfortunately it may be an uphill climb for the Eagles....on the score board yes, but a lot of teams still hold very close in their memories the situations in the past few years when they either: began taking (what could be deemed as cheap) shots, kept their super stars in to pad stats and run up the score, etc.......Even though they have new coaches ad players, they may have to take some lumps......

 

Good luck to them and all teams trying to teach and play the game the right way.

Speaking of red cards. Does the KHSAA still publish the DQ list? I couldn't find it - if anyone has a link I would appreciate it.

It's not on the KHSAA public page any longer. It use to be published at the end of their update bulletin and once per year for the entire past year.

 

Haven't seen the list in a long time....
