Dismembered body of 22-year-old mother found in Green River (Hart County)

HART COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a dismembered body found over the weekend in a tote bag in the Green River.

 

According to Kentucky State Police, a fisherman found the body of 22-year-old Kristen Edwards of Barren County, Ky., on Saturday morning.

 

"It takes a cruel mind to do something like that,” said Cameron Kendall, hours after learning the victim was his longtime friend.

 

Edwards was a mother of two. Her youngest son is not even a year old.

That's messed up. Before they released the name I was wondering if it might end up being the Bardstown girl who went missing last year around this time. Unfortunately, her body has not turned up yet.

We were hopeful that this was one our bodies but quickly discovered that it was yet another victim. Things are getting crazy these days.
