HART COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a dismembered body found over the weekend in a tote bag in the Green River.

 

According to Kentucky State Police, a fisherman found the body of 22-year-old Kristen Edwards of Barren County, Ky., on Saturday morning.

 

"It takes a cruel mind to do something like that,” said Cameron Kendall, hours after learning the victim was his longtime friend.

 

Edwards was a mother of two. Her youngest son is not even a year old.

Been following the story for a week now -- I go to Green often -- and haven't saw any talk of a suspect.

 

I've used that ramp to put in and get out on canoe trips MANY times. Even camped very close to it on private property.

 

Keep it up, and you'll be the prime suspect.

 

 

And before anyone jumps all over me. What happened is awful. I pray for the girl's family, and hope they can have some sort of closure.

That's messed up. Before they released the name I was wondering if it might end up being the Bardstown girl who went missing last year around this time. Unfortunately, her body has not turned up yet.
