This will be an ugly game no doubt! The Juggs know that they need to prove that they are better than the SK game showed. A win against Scott would even the slate for Lloyd. A loss to the Eagles would be horrible for morale espically with Beechwood coming to Lloyd on week three. My heart tells me a Lloyd victory but it wont be pretty.

BIGZIG, I really can not put my hand on it. I will say that when this group was in NKYFL for Lions they only had a couple of kids that were 12 and the rest were 11 years old. This is why Lloyd has only a few seniors this year. For your post regarding been down 5 - 10 years. Last year was the first time in 5 years Lloyd did not post a winning season and still made the playoffs. I think the reason Lloyd is down is kids are not playing sports and would rather be in doors playing computer games. This is the first year in a long time that the Lions Pee Wee program has 190 kids playing this year. We usually struggel to have a Senior team and we have close to 47 kids in Seniors. The Freshmen team has posted several winning seasons the past five years. Sorry for rambling this is about LLoyd vs Scott. JD

 

John - Good explanation on what has happened to Lloyd's program the last couple of years. If the Erlanger Lions can get several people like you to help out, they can once again become a dominating force in NKYFL and provide an excellent feeder program into Lloyd.

I think this game will be VERY ugly. But I'm going to have to go with the Eales in a close one. They looked pretty good at times against HC but their pass defense is very suspect.

If the Erlanger lions kids stayed and went to school at Lloyd, like they are supposed to, Lloyd could produce quality teams every year.

DKAK42, I agee however, if the Freshmen and Varsity coaches don't come around and talk with the kids what can you do. I know you have and all the coaches at Lions talk about Lloyd to our kids its the Lloyd coaches that need to come around once in awhile. That is why we try to schedule games at Lloyd so they will come once in a while. JD
