How does Henschen the QB from Newport Central Catholic not on this list, he is getting D-1 looks?

 

I liked his video and everything from last season but not sure he should be on the list just because he is getting D1 looks. A lot of kids would be on the list then.

Not sure.. Kash Daniel won as a LB but he also played QB.

 

I think if you are going off the best HS players in the state those two guys are 1 and 2.. but all too often this award is more about the most popular High School player or most recognizable.

 

 

The issue for Wills is he has a bonafide Mr. Football candidate on his team that accumulates TD's in Walker Wood. The issue for Horton is he is a D-Linemen.

 

The one thing Wills has going for him that most OL have not is the fact he is a legit 4 or 5 Star recruit who has not committed already. He will continue to dominate the press and stay on the tip of most people's tongues.

 

The one thing that Ray Horton has going for him that most DL do not is that there probably hasn't been a D-Tackle since Dennis Johnson that dominated on a statewide level like he has. Horton has a chance to Start and Win 4 straight Championships and he puts up eye popping stats for a HS D Linemen.

 

With all that said I think neither would be considered the early favorite because of their position, but i think both would be a Pre-Season Top 5 candidate

I don't disagree with you but IMO he is as good or better than Racke and Morgan. He was highly ranked at the Nike camp I think he was 3 over all with a 90%+ ranking for QB's.

He's not better than Morgan. If he was he'd have MULTIPLE D1 offers as a 6'6 QB.

 

I liked him last year and as I told one of his receivers it's going to be a big year passing at NCC IMO. However, let's not lose perspective.

hi Mr. Football 2016. a very good article. In Indiana most of time Mr. Football comes from the Indianapolis Schools they are bigger but once in a awhile someone from the other parts of HoosierLand wins it. Its nice to see new players and schools win one for the community. Lots of talk and brings more people out. Roy

The kid is a great QB, but to say he is better than Morgan is unfair. I could be wrong, but you might be only looking at measurables. Morgan has 77 career Touchdowns and almost 7700 passing yards. Has a chance to surpass 10,000 career yards. Not many QB's in KY have done that.

Morgan is very good and I said it was my opinion. NKY has a good crop of QB's this year should be fun.

I hope he gets as many offers as Pat Towles and Drew Barker got if not more. God bless him. However, there is no mention anywhere of any current offers. He would be the first high school kid to not have a D1 offer mentioned online.

 

Now before anyone calls his parents/texts them saying "Clyde doesn't think your boy can play" (yes, it's happened before with other kids) let me say AGAIN that I think the kid can play. I first saw him last year against Conner and posted about him then. Made some really impressive throws that are not easy for high school kids.

Walton Verona's Hunter Ruber at LB, stats and film says it all. Well rounded football player and Wrestler as well placing at state.
