I know it's early, but I was just hoping to be able to put into context how different teams compare across the state. As of right now, I have seen six teams in person:Tates Creek, GRC, Mad. Central, West Jess, Lafayette and Mason Co., after seeing these three games here is how I would rank those teams after week one.

1. Mad Central-they have many studs and are a legitimate Top 10 4-A team.

 

2.Lafayette- looked ok, too many turnovers

3.Tates Creek-much improved over last year

4./5. GRC/Mason Co. (they looked to be about equal)

 

 

 

6. West Jessamine-they looked really bad, however i think that, this had more to do with playing a quality opponent.

 

What are your guys rankings, from the games you all have seen?

1-Johnson Central

I have only seen 4 teams so far. The best was Johnson Central of the teams I saw at the Cumberland Valley Bowl 6. Holmes was the 2nd best team I saw. But later on, when I get to see more games, I am sure I will see some very solid teams!

Brentwood Acad from TN... They had some horses! Would have liked to seen them play Male.

I haven't seen Corbin play yet, but next Saturday, I am going to their bowl game, and after their solid performance this past weekend, I fully expect them to be pretty high on my list of temas I already started, I hopefully will be able to update this list as I go on throughout the year, while keeping in mind some teams improve, while others stay the same.

Did Brentwood have large numbers? Say in comparison to St. Xavier or Trinity and wear Manual down, or did they just have studs who were on another level (not to say St. Xavier or Trinity don't have any studs)

1. Montgomery Bell.

 

Nothing explosive, nothing spectacular, just very fundamentally sound. Good size, good skill kids. QB made a lot of nice mid-range throws (5 to 15 yards). Special teams won the game for them against Dunbar.

Mercer County Titans - talent, speed and depth, plus a great coaching staff!
