Which Yeast?

 

He was one of the younger kids. He scored a TD when he stretched out. I might have got the name wrong but I thought they said he was a yeast.

Jordan Sophomore # 21, Norris Junior #6 and Ronald #45 Senior and Trevor Short has Yeast blood in his veins too - Terry Yeast's nephew.

May have been Jordan#21, Norris #6 got the safety at the end of the game.

Nothing wrong with a little yeast in your blood. It's almost a guarantee that you can play some football.

Tyler Mayes #11, and McCloud both looked good tonight.

If these are the guys playing JV - it should be about as much fun to watch as varsity games.

I missed mayes big run, But I saw McCloud run hard. Is he andrew's brother? If so I see where he gets it from.

And he is wearing #34 - of course he is Andrew's brother...

To be honest I thought LCA looked beat before the opening kickoff. Many spent the warm up time watching Mercer warm up. Mercers O-line looks like they need to improve in order for the Titans to do much in the playoffs. Speed is great but somebody has to open a hole! Mercer Defense looked better than I expected. I was surprised that the two backs did not play on defense, at least I do not remember seeing them out there??? Walker will contribute a lot when he returns both on offense and defense. Any chance he will play Saturday? Kicking game needs some work too, three or four missed PAT's. Oh well, just the first game. If Mercer continues to improve throughout the season they could be tough! Mayes and Thad Claunch had switched numbers from the original roster Mayes was 11 and Claunch was 14. Mayes had a great run, quick kid. Chase Wofford he went from #84 to #1 - it was confusing.

Yeah the O-line needs some work. As far as the D-line I thought Masterson was a force. He stayed in the backfield. I think his name was Rashaad Buster, I liked what I saw from him. He blocked that punt and got close to a couple of others. And, I can't say enough about Chris Lewis. This guy is a beast. He was laying some lumber out there.

Not only was Lewis laying some lumber, but loving it - he was hyped - great kid, great team player. Rashad Buster I believe was number 31? Agreed O-line needs some work.

Great start to a new season and a new era. Ford, Jackson, and even the fullback looked good tonight. It was also good to see the younger guys looking sharp. That bodes well for the future of the program too.

Hey, that's just the way it is. When you merge they don't immediately bump you up. What is it? Every two years they reclassify?

 

I don't believe anyone can blame Mercer for the inherent problems with the KHSAA's current classification process...Year in and year out schools may gain or lose a few kids & that can change your classification SLIGHTLY...A school consolidation is different...This didn't happen overnight...If you are planning a consolidation you should have to let the KHSAA know a year or 2 in advance so your schedule can be adjusted & will be legit when the consolidation takes place...It IS an unfair advantage & people will talk about it...Don't take it personally...The gripes are not directed in any way at the Titans...
