A BIG SHOUT OUT to Campbell County Camels!! Bring it back to Northern Kentucky ...

Just returned from Canada and am joining the Camel run through the state tournament already in progress.

 

Congrats to one of the really good guys in the game - Scott Schweitzer.

Should be noted that during the course of a sacrifice bunt attempt Colten Hartig fouled an 80+ m.p.h pitch off of his mouth. After being worked on by the trainer, and with lip split and bleeding, he proceeded to reach base and then pitched several more innings. Gutsy performance from a tough kid.

That was some heroic pitching under very adverse conditions. Good job by trainer to keep him in the game. Anyone defensively behind him feels compelled to give that extra effort to match his commitment. There's some iron in the backbone of this Camel team. Sounds like a team with a mission they intend to win. Go Camels ! Happy I've got KHSAA TV to watch next weekend. :thumb:

It was an easy job. A little vaseline on the lips kept the bleeding away once the bleeding almost stopped. It looked a lot worst live than what it really was.

 

This team is unbelievable, they are a team through and through and play for each other and not themselves. Very fun group of kids to be around.

Kids in the dugout lost it when the trainer finished cleaning up and stopping the bleeding on Colton he turned to the dugout with fist clenched and yelled Let's Go.

5 seniors with good careers but good group returning too!
