Sounds like every time that he touched the ball he was taking it to the house. Congrats Madison Central on the win.

He also returned punts. I didn't catch how many return yards he had but I think he scored another touchdown that way.

I was at this game mad. central kept their starters in way too long, i know there are going to be some on here who are going to make excuses for this, but to run the score up like that was classless, i don't care what anybody says, also the officals were awful, forgetting to keep a running clock for most of the second half. Also the coaches at W.Jess, need to get their kids better prepared. Mad. central kept their starters in until the score was 63 to 0.

I know Coach Kenny Turner and his staff well. I know they didn't run the score up on purpose.

Give us a few more details... So are you saying the referees did not tell the scoreboard operator to run the clock in the second half? When were substitutions beginning (meaning, at what junction did the score become 63-0)?

I am not saying it was the scenario in this game, but like it or not, some teams have to get a little bit of game conditioning for the rest of the season. I am not saying putting up 1000 points, but for instance in this game, if the 63rd point was scored early to mid third quarter and then removed, I may not have as much of a problem with it. But I was not at the game and cannot really evaluate the situation.

First, let me begin by saying, I do not think that Coach Turner is classless, I am saying that in this situation, I believe he mishandled this particular situation. There is no way keeping in his starters in as late as he did helped this team. West Jessamine was awful tonight. Practicing against Central's second team would give his starters more work. Also the officials misse

d tons of calls both ways, but moving past that, they did not seem to be in contact with the scoreboard operator, because at a point the clock should have run continously, but did not until 51 seconds left in the game. Also some subs were made with around 5 minutes left in the 3rd, however numerous overpowering skill players were left in the game, most notably #5, and #18, if they had been on Jessamine's team, they would have been, by far and away the best players, also some other players were left, I just don't remember the particulars.

And while I have no dog in this fight, MC was throwing after the score was 63-0, with a couple of minutes left.

Those are unheard of numbers! My gosh!

Ricky Rhodes had a total of 265 all purpose yards. Rhodes is a junior for Madison Central. He scored two touchdowns rushing and also returned a put 61 yards for a score.

Keyshawn Simpson had a 144 yard rushing on six carries with a td.

Isiah Kavanaugh, soph, had 71 yards rushing on three carries and 3 tds.

You can't fault Madison Central's coach staff for the ref's not running the clock. Also, if a team doesn't want 70 points put up on the scoreboard against them, they need to field a better defense.

Madison Central's starters played 2 series in the second half and both offensive series they scored in one or two plays. Ricky Rhodes returned a punt to make it 63-0 midway through the 3rd quarter and he is a starter. The reason they had him fielding punts is because one of the young guys fumbled a punt a couple minutes earlier. MC's JV played almost the entire second half. There were problems with the clock, it seemed like they stopped it some.

The score does look bad, but with a young team like MC has, they need all of the live action they can get before they play teams such as Dunbar, Tates Creek, and Highlands.

I was just about ready to say they better score all the points they can because they are in for a spankin when they make the trip up to Ft. Thomas.

Without a doubt Central will be a major underdog when they travel to Highlands in October, but most teams are that play there. I think that game could get ugly but it will only help come playoff time. The Indians district has been weak the past few years and a game like this can be an ego check before the playoffs.

Any ballers out for the Fball team? I know they rock on the basketball court?
