I am not going back to dig it up but its something I have noticed. I have a good memory when it benefits me or so my wife says....you should be proud you have a friend thats got your back.

I think you are noticing something that isn't there. UKMF do I agree on a lot of things, and there are also many things we disagree on. Neither of us need anyone to have our backs, we have fought many a battle on our own.

Unfortunately, this election cycle seems to be one of the most divided in recent history. I think many of the social issues contribute as well as the 24 hour news cycle.

 

I think destroying BGP is a bit of an exaggeration, IMHO.

 

Maybe it is, but regardless I don't think it's hard to see that this forum and the politics one have been in a major downhill spiral for quite a while now.

It's without question the tenor of it. There is no such thing as a thought-provoking discussion or debate any more on here. Every thread quickly devolves in a "liberals are running the world" or "the right is racist" blah, blah, blah. From the onset of almost every thread, insults are hurled before anyone even has a chance to engage in debates. It comes from both sides, and I've been guilty of it myself. It's just depressing to see. These forums used to be places for good critical discussion, but that just isn't the case any more.
