June 28, 20179 yr I have one and love it. I really like to pan sear steaks (NY Strips Primarily) and then sear on one side, flip then place in the oven while still in the pan. I have probably cooked ~50 steaks on mine and it still looks brand new. I only use it for steaks though so it holds up longer.
February 14, 20188 yr My sister in law told me about the copper set she got for Christmas from her kids. It came from Macy's pretty good price on it. I looked at the reviews and while most were positive a few said they were great at first but later started having items sticking to them and hard to clean? any updates?
February 14, 20188 yr We have the 12" skillet as well as the crisping pan, love them both. I still love my cast iron skillets and griddles but I'm mainly using those for grilling purposes now and we typically use the copper chef on the stove top or in the oven. We have used them quite a bit and i feel like they will last a long time. I do season them every once in a while but typically only if we had been cooking at high heat levels. The crisper is perfect for cooking frozen wings in the oven, they come out about the same as they would on a grill, minus the smoke flavor. Oh and while I'm on the subject of wings I gotta give Tyson's tequila lime wings a shameless plug. I'm not normally a fan of frozen wings but those tequila lime wings are excellent.

February 14, 20188 yr I have some of these to try in the freezer. Best frozen wings I've ever had. Once the weather breaks and I can get back to grilling I'm gonna try and make a tequila lime marinade and make them with fresh wings.
February 15, 20188 yr I have had my original set since June of '16. I still use them all the time. I went to Ollie's Bargin a couple of months ago and picked up some there too. The brand is Copper Pot instead of Copper Chef, but they perform nicely. Here's their add for this week. The only negative to these pots is that they need to be deglazed before they cool off. If you're doing high heat cooking and something adheres to them it can be tough to get them clean if you allow them to cool. It's just a matter of pouring some water in the pan while it's hot and scraping with a wooden or plastic spatula.

How do you season a copper pan?
February 15, 20188 yr How do you season a copper pan? Coldweatherfan beat me to it and I haven't read the link yet but essentially you season it the same way you would cast iron, although it's a bit easier to season than cast iron and doesn't need to be done nearly as often. By easier than cast iron I mean you don't have to bake it in an oven for an hour or so at 350-400 degrees, with copper you can literally just get it hot on your stove top for a few minutes and then wipe it clean after it cools down. You can use just about any oil but I'm partial to flax seed oil.
February 20, 20188 yr Picked up another copper chef set today at Walmart for $30. It must have been a closeout of some sort because I believe it was normally in the $130 range. It came with a 9 1/2" deep dish square pan with lid, steaming accessory, as well as a strainer for frying. Also in the box was an 8" skillet as well as three copper coated knives. For $30 I couldn't pass it up.
February 28, 20188 yr My wife bought one of these. It's a piece of junk. She also bought some kind of copper contraption for baking that claimed to make thing crisp.......piece of junk as well.
