Yes. I watch or listen a lot of the morning shows on ESPN and they spent way more time talking about Lebron and his tweets and relationships on the Cavs more than any other NBA topic all season. I'd also argue that they talked about Russ/KD and where KD will play next year as much as the Warriors also. First Take and His and Hers spent unreal amounts of time talking about Lebron and his tweets and what they meant. ESPN doesn't care about sports. They care about petty gossip now.

No. Three of the top four or five though would be a founded argument. Paul George is the clear-cut #2. Wall probably contends with Kyrie. Other than that, Butler, Melo, Wade, Lowry, Drummond, IT3, and Millsap all come to mind in the discussion.

I see. I've watched maybe two hours of non-live sports on ESPN in the last year so I was only barely being confrontational when I asked that. I jumped ship on ESPN programming around the time Simmons got canned.

I wouldn't go as far as he did. The only person I would put over Kawhi is PG13. I have Kawhi right behind him. At the same time, for me, Kawhi might be a victim of the Spurs system. He's obviously very very good but I think we haven't seen how good he can really be because he hasn't been fully unleashed.

 

I think PG13 is underrated defensively.

Steph deserved the award no doubt, but this award seems to be partial to records rather than individual performance. His stats arent even that legendary (30.1 ppg 6.7 ast 5.4 reb).

They have 2 of the best 3. PG13 is #2 IMO. Love is still good, but I think some others in the East may be better. DWade is still phenomenal (in the playoffs), Butler is good, Melo is probably still better than Love too. Could be talked into John Wall.
