May 4, 201610 yr For now it looks like the best chance for strong to severe storms for parts of Kentucky is Saturday afternoon into the early evening hours. First for those around the NKY area and then in WKY later that evening. WKY/Southern Indiana look to have the best chance for severe storms. I'll update as we get closer. 2 pm EDT 8 pm EDT

May 5, 201610 yr Author The weather is all over the place for Saturday from multiple sources in multiple areas of Kentucky, the forecast seems to be changing by the minute The models are not really into total agreement yet but I think it will be really close on the rain coming before the start of the Derby. One more thing the possible severe storms this weekend looks to just be the start of a stormy period for Kentucky.

May 6, 201610 yr Author The marginal threat area has been increased to a slight risk area for parts of Kentucky mainly north of I-64 for Saturday afternoon into the night time hours. Louisville is right on the edge of the slight risk are.
