May 7, 201610 yr Author Saturday morning update: Parts of Kentucky from just south of I-64 northward are now in a slight risk area for strong to severe storms later today. The timing for these storms looks to be after 5 pm. The primary threats look to be damaging winds and some could see severe hail. The tornado threat looks to be low but can't be completely ruled out. It still looks like it will be close on the Kentucky Derby today. Some showers could start forming around the Louisville area around 5 pm EDT. May 7, 201610 yr Author The threat for strong to severe storms is still there for those around I-64 northward. This shows the possible storms starting to form in Iowa. Everyone can see the storm look to take a direct path towards Southern Indiana and Kentucky.
