I imagine so, this area has been visited quite often by Dem's. Bill Clinton visited during his campaign for his second term and there was a 20,000+ turnout. Obama visited Huntington or Charleston, I forget which one. Bernie was in Huntington last week.

 

The only recent visit by a Republican was from Rand Paul, whom visited Ashland a couple of times during this campaign. However he's also a state rep running for re-election, so that probably played a lot into his visit. With AK Steel idling do to not being able to compete with Chinese steel companies, I'm not sure how Hillary's visit will go.

In that part of the state and considering their primary employer she should be about as popular as a loud fart in church.

If I wanted to see some old white overweight blabber mouth I would go to the local flea market.

She is a mockery of a person who cares. She is only pandering to the oil people who support her pockets as well as getting the kickbacks from her

Seems like she's either checking a box to say she's been to KY or Appalachia. We all know that Hillary doesn't do anything unless it benefits her somehow.

 

Maybe she wanted to throw tomato's at Mike Duncan's house in Inez. It's a short drive from Ashland.

No doubt, the venue she chose is a small Italian restaurant downtown. They have excellent food, but it's an odd place to make a campaign stop in my opinion. The only thing I can think of is that she wanted to keep the numbers low in case non supporters outnumbered her supporters, which I imagine was the case anyway. Most of the people in attendance outside of Secret Service and some city officials were members of the United Steelworkers local.

Turns out that it was a private lunch between her and the steelworkers Union, some city officials, and the media. It was closed off to the public and a few businesses were forced to close due to being in the "high security zone."

 

There are several articles at http://www.daily independent.com that speak about what was talked about. Apparently the "Superhero Creamery" across the street stayed open and created a new ice cream called "The Benghazi Blizzard" lol, as well as printed custom t-shirts. I found that a bit funny.
