That's the kid I was referencing. Thanks.

Sean has pitched much more for JV than the frosh this year. On days when JV is not playing he will play with the frosh but has not pitched much. Stallman is the other frosh who has seen some time with JV this year, he as well as a pitcher. He has pitched more for frosh than JV I would guess.

With the strong Soph class playing JV, no other frosh have sniffed JV for Cov Cath as far as I recall.

Cov CathFreshman Jackson Blank started at shortstop in the JV game against Beechwood earlier this week. Game got called after 1 inning due to rain..

Very good for Jackson! I was not aware. Kid can play. Like I said I was not aware, but was not sure. Has anyone else played JV?

To my knowledge no other freshman has played JV for Cov Cath.

Agree on first two. I don't know who Schwalbach is. I know HHS has a really nice frosh pitcher pitching JV with Cramer. Big kid.

I'd add Coldiron from CCH. CCH has a stud LH pitcher whose name escapes me. Castleman from BW. Cooper has a frosh playing varsity (left-handed kid who also plays basketball).

Campbell has an 8th grader playing JV that STROKES the ball. #22 if I recall.

I haven't seen many frosh teams this year and not a lot of JV teams so I'm sure I'm missing some players.

The pitcher you are likely referring to is Tanner Juett. He is a baseball only kid and is a very nice player with a good bat too.

Schwalbach can mash, he's jacked some major shots I've heard. Compact kid built similar to McGinnis and has a gun. He will be an excellent SS at Highlands in the coming yrs.

If I hear correct Chad Ohmer is a freshman is is an everyday starter on the varsity for Scott.

Q, Clyde is right. Grady Cramer is the frosh who pitches JV. He probably is 6' 2" tall and having an outstanding year. Tanner who is a frosh and gifted kid has only pitched one or two games for the JV Birds. Kid has a bright future. Cooper Schwalbach is another frosh who plays JV and is having an outstanding year. Kid doesn't have a gun, he's got a cannon for a right arm! You need to check your spellcheck because Cooper hasn't played SS, He plays CF.

I keep forgetting Grady has shot up to 6'2. I haven't seen a game yet so if you say CF I believe ya. He was a SS in the past.

Well suited for CF.... Very, very fast, covers a lot of ground. Strong arm and hits for power. Multitool kid.

Brady Brooks from Campbell is the 8th grader. An he is a stud!

Brooks from CC is a baseball stud but this thread is about freshman. Brooks and Gangwish play for the same At The Yard summer ball team. Talk about a deadly duo. Gangwish is undefeated on the hill for the SK JV and throws low 80's with a nasty slider and change up. Another good freshman is Farfsing playing SS for the JV Pioneers. Gangwish and Farfsing won't get the props though for 2 reasons. 1. They don't play for Beechwood, Highlands, or CovCath and the BGP site belongs to those schools. 2. Everybody hates UK #1 so if kids go to SK then most BGPers discount those Pioneer players. Come out and watch Gangwish pitch or Farfsing play SS. You BGPers will see 2 of the best freshman in NKY.

Clyde - If you don't know who Schwalbach is then you don't have a clue about the young kids in high school ball in NKY. He is the best player in HHS program besides their Senior pitcher.

Cord - I will give you Odom and Castleman. The rest are middle of the road kids at best. Small school playing small competition.
