Was he bad for both teams?

Whenever I read one of Rocket's posts in this thread I always chuckle a little - because we all know how the season will end for the Cubs.

One of 2 ways, either the happiest day of my life or the biggest dupe ever :lol2:

Gotta give plantman credit for getting us off to a good start.

I was gonna do it just to make @LRCW mad.

Why do you gotta keep hurting the Reds? :rage::rage:

There is a really good looking young SP that is going to go #1 in the up coming draft. We could use him in 2020.

Too bad the Reds have the 2nd pick.

I want them to take Kyle Lewis, the big OF out of Mercer. Kid has a ton of power.

Question. Are Billy Hamilton and Tucker Barnhart the last two everday 8 prospects to come up from Louisville and stick around? Not players they have traded for, I mean drafted and called up.

Are you asking if they're the only everyday players that were drafted and brought up, or just the most recent ones?

How many years have you endured as a Cubs fan?

Most recent was what I was going for.

Most recent was what I was going for.

That are currently on the roster, yes.

Kind of underscores the reason for the trades to get guys like Schebler, Duvall, Peraza, etc. Their system is weak on position players, but very strong in arms.

It also tells you the scouts suck if you cant get your guys to the show.

Not necessarily. You draft based on tools and potential. A lot of times they don't pan out. They haven't done a good job that's for sure, but I also feel their primary focus for way too long has been on pitchers. They're starting to shift the other direction now.

It's no secret the minors is lacking position players outside of Winker for the last 2-3 years. Like UK said, they had a major focus on pitching in past drafts.
