For me the only down side for Highlands is parking.

 

Never had a problem and I've been to some big games. Same lot each time.

Having to basically walk on the field and not having largest capacity along with scattered parking count against Highlands. Campbell is just really nice I Like Dixies layout

 

You obviously never actually walk on the field as a fan game day.

I think the tighter atmosphere the better for high school sports. Average crowds feel like big crowds, big crowds feel like crazy crowds. Why not want to be closer to the action? I think that's why at NFL games the closer to field the pricier the seats right?

Only thing SK is missing is a new score board. Maybe the Deters family or Mike Zimmerman can help get one.

 

 

I wish they would have placed the scoreboard in the South EZ. To this day I can't get used to it.

I really liked Campbell's complex. IMO the best place to watch the game may be the hill on the south side. I love watching a game from that angle.

I wonder why they don't move it? Where it is right now you can hardly see it if your sitting past the 50 yard line on the home bleachers it is sitting at a bad angle.

Scott, top to bottom, is definitely one of the nicest facilities I've been to over the years.

 

SK, Ryle, Campbell, and Dixie are up there as well.

 

Interested to see what type of changes/updates they do to Holmes when the new field turf is installed.

 

I agree, Scott top to bottom. Great picnic style seating by concessions. Enough seating on both sides of the field if you don't like sitting with the opposing team. Nice access to the field for the players with the locker rooms close. Press box is nice and able to accommodate numerous people . From a fans point of view from the main stands, the sun can be tough to handle since it sets by the score board, but it's not distracting to the players.

Augusta's new stadium seats 10,000, has the best concessions at absolutely no charge, and has locker facilities that are the envy of all Ky High Schools. Sorry, just woke up from a nap and was dreaming!

Ludlow is up there in my opinion. The stands still have the old school feel but now they also have a new concession stand to go along with their new field house. Plus watching a game down on the river is nice. Very nice atmosphere.

+1. Where else when the game's out of hand can you just sit back and watch the riverboats go by? Better yet, when the river floods where else can you paddle on the field? (Well, maybe Newport & Belleview.)

 

What's neat is to stand under I-471 & watch games going on at both B & N.

You realize Turkeyfoot is designed pretty good. The school runs on solar energy and sells electric to Duke.

It looks like a prison inside.

You can't see the forest for the trees. The lighting by federal government standards would fail if you was to take a light meter in there. Half the solar panels on the roof are ripped off. The lighting on the outside doesn't even lite the school name up. There is no school colors in the school. The gym bleachers extend into the floor. I could go on for days with this. Whoever designed it is clueless just like the people running the school district.

It was the same architect. That particular firm had never designed a sports complex before, which shows in some aspects of the design.
