It's not worth the trouble everybody at cordia including the entire team was glad to see him go. There is a lot of drama that goes along with him not counting a lot of other thing I won't get on here and mention. He is a good player when he decides to show up. Cordia I think got a good up grade to take his place though(Trace Young) I will live with that.

If you think there's a lot of drama with that kid, wait until you deal with Trace for a while.

Mercado could end up being the top college prospect in the 2018 class along with Trevon Faulkner.

 

That is a very big "could" and the same could be said about a half dozen or so kids in 2018 if not a few more. This young man could very well eventually get to what you have stated, but Trevon has separated himself with his play and potential is just that...potential.

Legitimate question: Has the KHSAA ever not approved a transfer in Eastern Kentucky? It seems like open recruiting at times over there.

A couple of years ago, there was a girl who transferred from Mason Co. to St. Patrick. Mason Co. would not release her and she sat for a year, I think. Or maybe never played at all. KHSAA would not allow her to play. So I don't know how these schools get away with it.

There are almost 10-12 people you could say that for in this class including Faulkner. Trevon got a lot of pub and deservedly so; but he had a talented group around him this season. He is a great player but there are some 2018 kids out there that you will hear about real soon
