Stop! Or I will dial....or shoot...The cellphone gun.

I saw this before and have mixed feelings about it. While it is a great way to conceal a gun for personal protection, it also will add yet another thing LEO's will have to worry about when somebody has what "appears" to be just a normal cell phone. (If you though AirSoft/pellet guns were hard to distinguish, imagine this.)

Have to remember this thread the next time someone is shot and they were "Just pulling thier phone out".

I think the last two posts are ridiculous. Why is a private citizens saftey any less important than LE. If cops want to use this as an excuse to start shooting they must want jail time.

Totally missed the point I was trying to make.

I just don't think the standard should be what LE can determine .

My opinion, but I doubt very seriously that the guys LE really have to worry about are the guys that will be carrying something like this. The criminal element who would gun down a LEO isn't going to be "skinning" one of these out of their pocket to do it.

That's nifty!

Cool and scary all at the same time but these type of weapons have been around for a very long time. I remember receiving training about them 15 years ago.

1. It's not, but a Police Officers life is no less valuable than a private citizens either (Remember they are Private Citizens also, just doing a job to protect the rest of us from the criminals.)

2. Police officers aren't looking for excuses to "Start Shooting", but when someone makes a quick move to pull something out of their pocket when in contact with the police they must understand that they are putting themselves and the officer in a tough position.

3. If someone wants to carry this for personal security, I'd hope they would have enough sense to not pull it out on a police officer.

4. You think that it's ridiculous that this is something else that Law Enforcement needs to worry about?

You are probably correct, but a officer killed because he thought it was just a phone is something I don't ever want to read about.
