That's right. If they're at the state, good chance they're winning it.

Yeah, 12th place really stinks. Too many empty years for Lafayette, though they are victims of a tough district and region. Hard to account for that in a math formula, but it hurt them.

 

Yep I say that problem happens a lot in those Louisville and Lexington Districts.

Actually, there is a fantastic website a guy on BGP runs that has all the past tournament scores (I'd link it, but I'm not at my home computer) and there was a book published a couple years ago with the same information. I compiled that into files at home - I've got every tournament scores for every school that has ever existed in Kentucky.

You need to gather some information about great games during various eras and put together a book. Danny Weddle did one for the hoops in the Mason County area (title: How we play the game). It had info from the various Mason County schools. You could just make yours Statewide. Lots of hoops junkies out there. You could sign me up for a copy if you make it!

Love seeing Maysville and Mason County both crack the top 20.

 

Still have a Maysville-Newport "last Maysville regular-season game" program.

 

I was lucky enough to broadcast that gamr. It was something I will never forget.

I wonder how much higher Marysville would be if they were still open? Much of Mason County's success has come since consolidation occurred.
